Hotel Asia Exhibition and Culinary Challenge 2012, is an event to promote food and beverages, and other supplies for the hotel industry in Maldives, have been inaugurated on the 10th at Dharubaaruge.
While this is the 11th consecutive year and the seventh edition of the event, it is one of the single largest event in the Maldives that showcases food, drink, foodservice, hospitality and hotel equipment.
This year’s event includes international exhibitors from countries India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, China and also from Maldives. Total of 150 booths are on display.
The culinary challenge is one of the highly anticipated events at Hotel Asia where 400 chefs from 40 resorts and hotels take part vying for top honors. Most of the culinary challenge’s 16 categories are spot preparations with simultaneous judging and feedback. Best two chefs from the challenge will get the chance to participate in International Culinary Challenge in Singapore.

Our 7 chefs participated in different catogories and brought home 11 medals.
